In case you missed it, Sean Hannity and Jimmy Kimmel have been engaged in a Twitter war of EPIC proportions. It all started when Hannity called out Kimmel for making fun of Melania Trump’s accent as she read book to children on Easter.
Things really got out of hand, however, when Kimmel used a homophobic slur to insult Hannity:
Don’t worry – just keep tweeting – you’ll get back on top! (or does Trump prefer you on bottom?) Either way, keep your chin up big fella..XO

Here’s the scoop per Deadline:
The Twitter and television war between talk show hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Sean Hannity is apparently over. The increasingly vitriolic exchanges between the two had escalated to the point where physical threats were being made and charges of perversion casually tossed about. Kimmel even mentioned death threats against his family.
The conflict started when Kimmel mocked the White House Easter Egg Roll and Melania Trump’s accent while reading a children’s book to celebration participants. Fox & Friends subsequently savaged the ABC star over his monologue jokes, igniting the back and forth between Kimmel and Hannity.
Here’s more from USA Today:
“I will take Sean Hannity at his word that he was genuinely offended by what I believed and still believe to be a harmless and silly aside referencing our First Lady’s accent,” Kimmel wrote in a statement posted Sunday afternoon on Twitter. “Mrs. Trump almost certainly has enough to worry about without being used as a prop to increase TV ratings.”
Kimmel also apologized for making a profane joke about Hannity in clown makeup that referenced President Trump. “By lampooning Sean Hannity’s deference to the President, I most certainly did not intend to belittle or upset members of the gay community and to those who took offense, I apologize,” his statement said.
Still, Kimmel had a parting shot for his critic: “I am hopeful that Sean Hannity will learn from this too and continue his newly-found advocacy for women, immigrants and First Ladies and that he will triumph in his heroic battle against sexual harassment and perversion.”
We’re huge fans of First Lady Melania Trump and the rest of the Trump clan here at Breaking News Alert. And while we doubt that Mrs. Trump was personally offended by Mr. Kimmel’s remarks (was she even aware of them?), it’s nice to see a conservative in the media defend her honor.
