Major Border Wall Announcement: “This Project is Underway”

Naysayers listen up!

The border wall is an official reality. The Washington Examiner reports that in a ceremony attended by local law enforcement, border patrol agents and officials from the Department of Homeland Security, it was announced that the groundbreaking for the proposed Trump border wall took and that construction was set to begin.

“The president has started his project,” exclaimed El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Aaron E. Hull to reporters during a press conference at the border in Santa Teresa, N.M. “This project is underway. This is the beginning, in this sector, of the president’s border wall.”

Santa Teresa project will have a twenty-mile stretch of an 18- to 30-foot wall that will stretch six feet under ground and be embedded in two feet of concrete.

It will cost $73 million to build, money that was obtained to the measly $1.6 billion Congress forked over after they made sure to fund Planned Parenthood, tougher gun control laws and massive bailouts for insurance companies hit hard by Obamacare.

The wall cannot come soon enough for border and law enforcement agents as well as those living in the area. Hull told reporters:

“This part of the Santa Teresa area of operations is our busiest area for illegal alien apprehensions and it has been for years. It’s also a prime corridor for the smuggling of narcotics. The wall that we’re going to put in here is going to serve as an effective barrier to both. It’s going to allow us to make more effective use of our agents and our technology.”

In addition to the 20 miles in Santa Teresa, the Customs and Border Patrol agency has requested an additional 1,000 miles of wall that they say sill cost around $25 billion, a total that the President asked for in the beginning of the year but has failed to materialize.
